Welcome to the Mattoon High School website. Here at Mattoon High School, our goal is to help students learn and grow. We do that by combining a strong curriculum, excellent teachers, wonderful facilities, and parental support in providing opportunities for all students.

Mattoon teachers hold high expectations for students while creating a compassionate learning atmosphere. Class sizes typically range from the high teens to mid-twenties. Consequently, our teachers have the opportunity to work closely with students to address individual needs.

None of our success is possible without the strong parental support we enjoy. Active parent organizations, booster clubs, and a supportive community are vital to our common efforts in helping our students learn and grow.
